17,000 individuals with developmental disabilities are on waiting lists for services in the State of Indiana.

These people can wait up to 10 years before they and their families are eligible to receive support services. 10 years from the moment your infant or toddler is diagnosed with a developmental disability is too long to wait for your child to get services. 10 years from the time a young adult with developmental disabilities graduates from high school, or 10 years from the moment an aging parent realized they can no longer care for their adult child with developmental disabilities is not an acceptable time frame.

It is our understanding that there are nearly 120 individuals in Cass County and Pulaski Counties Today, they are numbers on a piece of paper. Tomorrow, we hope many of them will be receiving services – at least at a minimal level – until they come to the top of that list.

It is the goal of the Peak Community Services Foundation, to put an end to the waiting list for those in Cass and Pulaski Counties.

We understand what can be gained in 10 years of a person’s life.

If you are one of the hundreds in Cass and Pulaski County who is waiting for services, please download, print, complete and mail in all applicable information for funding consideration.
